Leandro Lo Verdict Pushed Back Again
Justice for Leandro Lo‘s death will have to unfortunately wait again. The verdict of PM Henrique Otavio Velozo was supposed to be given today, but the judge has once again pushed back to the 12th, 13th, and 14th of November.
It has been almost three years since Lo was murdered, and justice has still not been found. For people who are not familiar with the Brazilian justice system, convicting a polícia militar(military policeman) is difficult(even with the overwhelming evidence against Velozo).
The prior pushbacks to the trial date were tactics by Velozo’s attorneys who used their own investigator to try and disprove that he killed Leandro.
What makes this more sickening is that despite Velozo being imprisoned for the majority of the last three years, he was still receiving his salary until earlier this year.
Leandro Lo’s family and friends are disappointed, but they still have hope for justice.
