Landon Elmore Makes Statement At EBI 25
Over the weekend, we witnessed the birth of the next big Jiu-Jitsu star. The 19-year-old King’s Way purple belt Landon Elmore made an impressive statement at EBI 25.
Elmore submitted every one of his opponents, which included UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell. During his match against Mitchell, he quickly locked in a triangle choke.
The UFC veteran played to the crowd by lifting the young purple belt off the mat. However, Elmore wasn’t playing.
After the reset, the young purple belt set up a beautiful heel hook to finish the UFC fighter within the first few minutes of their match.
Landon Elmore later faced former ADCC Trials winner and veteran 10th Planet grappler Keith Krikorian. He once again shocked the audience by submitting the ADCC veteran to become the EBI 25 lightweight champion.
Elmore has become the fourth John Danaher protege to win an EBI title and submit every single one of his opponents. What makes his win even more impressive is that he was able to beat older and more experienced grapplers while only being a purple belt.
Keep an eye on this young grappler, because he’s going to be a future star of the sport.

Bobby is martial artist for almost 20 years with a BJJ black belt under Professor Sergio Miranda. He is also a karate black and former combat sports athlete, who loves all things grappling.
