ADCC Bans Slams For All Divisions
ADCC has just released a statement on rule changes for their upcoming North and South American Open events. Slams are now illegal in all divisions and scissor takedowns(kani-basami) for everyone below adult advanced.
Here is their official post:
“1.) All slams are now illegal in all divisions. You can no longer slam to escape a submission.
2.) Kani-basami(scissor takedown) is now only allowed in the adult advanced divisions.
These rules are effective immediately. Slams will be permitted for all ADCC trials and the world championship.”
