Blue Belt Promotes Self To Purple Belt
In a funny(yet sad and pathetic) story from Reddit, a blue belt named Jesse Miller promoted himself to purple belt and opened a gym.
BJJ instructor Brad Montgomery posted on Facebook, denouncing his former student for pulling this stunt. Montgomery states that Miller did this just three months after he was promoted to blue belt.
“This is extremely unfortunate. I promoted Jesse Miller to blue belt approx 3 months ago. He has been running a gym in Lebanon that was affiliated with Fusion, and that affiliation is effectively terminated, and I expect every single individual under my banner to hold themselves at a higher standard.”- Brad Montgomery.
There are, unfortunately, a lot of narcissists out there who think they can pull stunts like this and get away with it. Jesse Miller is one of many who have tried to pull scams like this, but they all get exposed in the end.
If you’re in the Lebanon, Missouri area and see this fake purple belt running a school, do not give him your business.
