CJI Lost Money on Day 1
Initially, CJI 1 was a huge hit with the event hitting 1.8 million viewers during the broadcast on YouTube. Despite almost 2 million people viewing the event, they actually lost money.
Craig Jones revealed that due to using copyrighted music on day one, the event on YouTube lost revenue. The $750k to charity also took away from the revenue.
Jones himself confirmed this on a Reddit post.
“Because CJI donated 750k to charity and I wanted every dollar to stay on our channel. We lost day 1 due to copyrighted music and only made money off of day 2.
Also the more views we get on channel better for our sponsors to build CJI 2. I’m a c*** yes, but I’m trying my best to grow the show. I’m risking my spine being destroyed by Gable.”- Craig Jones.
