Derek Moneyberg: $75k To Roll
Derek Moneyberg has not been doing himself any favors with the BJJ community. Instead of proving people wrong, he has been making snide comments and has refused numerous challenges.
Veteran grappler and MMA fighter Chris Brennan laid down a challenge to Moneyberg.
“I’ll give you $10k if you can pass my guard, and I’m 53.”- Chris Brennan.
Not only did Moneyberg turn down the offer, but he also he also said $ 10,000 wasn’t worth his time. Instead, he stated that a roll with him would cost $75k.
“It would cost me $75k to have a couple lost days of productivity to organize the travel to make that happen. I don’t think you people making nasty comments understand that my time is not like your time.
You guys go win all those competitions and collect your Chinese trophies. I’m just a businessman/investor who took up MMA as a hobby.
Never said I was the best in the world or was going to be UFC heavyweight champ. I’ve already accomplished my goals, and now I’ll keep making progress on my training and make another 100 million.”- Derek Moneyberg.
Well, Derek Moneyberg clearly has no desire to prove his skills to anyone in the BJJ community. He never had respect for grappling or the people in it.
All he wanted was a title, and he bought it, which is fine. We’ll continue doing something we love, and he can go do his scams.
