More jiu-jitsu athletes are making the jump to MMA. Dillon Danis is one of them. He will make his debut at Bellator 198 event on April 28th at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Dani’s opponent has not been confirmed yet.

While competing in jiu-jitsu Danis competes in the 181 lbs. (81kg) division. He will most likely compete in the 170 or 155-pound division in Bellator.

Fans began really hearing Danis’s name after he joined Conor Mcgregor’s camp, SBG Ireland to help the champ prepare for his rematch with Nate Diaz. Now Danis will use the opportunity to move and train at SBG in preparation for his Bellator 198 debut.

The majority of Dani’s jiu-jitsu career has been focused on no-gi grappling. That will be a plus for him in MMA since the transition might be more natural.

At 24 years of age, he is still very young and has time to make the necessary changes in order to have a great MMA career.
