
Springfield BJJ’s Distinguished Gentleman Competition
In the same vein as Pit Boss Grappling’s John Wick Invitational, Springfield BJJ is putting on a suit Jiu-Jitsu event of their own called the Distinguished Gentleman Competition. But the difference with this competition is you can register to compete.
It’s going down this Saturday in Springfield, Missouri at Springfield BJJ and you can suit up and get in on the action. Below is a breakdown of the rules, entry fee, spectator fee, and how to contact the school
What to wear:
• Suit jacket
• Collared shirt
• Slacks (metal zippers must be removed – wear grappling shorts underneath)
• Bonus points for thrift store flair or decade-old drip

• Entry: $40
• Spectators: $20
• Prizes await the champions

Distinguished Gentleman Rules & Match Details
Match Format:
Each match will be 8 minutes — submission only. No points. No advantages. Just skill, style, and class.
Submissions:
All submissions are legal. Yes, all of them. Come prepared.
No Slamming:
You can take them down or gently guide them to the floor — but slamming is not allowed, even to escape a submission.
Arena Setup:
Matches will take place in our angled wall arena, adding a unique twist and tactical edge to every exchange.
