Gable Steveson Pulls Out of CJI 2 Match With Injury

Unfortunately news for Craig Jones as Gable Steveson has pulled out his CJI 2 match against him during fight week. Steveson has apparently sustained a turf toe injury that is forcing him out of the match.

As of now, no replacement has been announced and Jones is frantically searching for a replacement. The CJI founder said that he reached out to reigning NCAA champion Wyatt Hendrickson who is the last person to defeat Steveson.

There’s no word yet if Hendrickson has accepted or any other possible replacement.

Craig is taking the pull out as well as we’d expect by posting various memes poking fun at Gable for pulling out. He’s posted a few memes poking fun at the Olympic champion.

There has also been no word yet if Gable Steveson has also pulled out of his MMA debut at LFA just a couple weeks after CJI 2.

We’ll keep you updated if there’s a last minute replacement.
