Garry Tonnon’s MMA debut was nothing short of impressive at ONE Championship 70 in Bangkok, Thailand. The ‘’Lion killer’’ dropped his opponent, Richard Corminal, with a crisp straight right hand in the first round then swarmed him for the finish, but the bell showed some mercy.

Tonon showed good footwork and movement on his feet. He surprised everyone by not going straight for the takedown.

In round two it was all Tonon dominating Corminal on the ground. After a few submission attempts Tonon was able to mount the Phillipino and throw some nasty elbows from the top position. At that point, the referee had no choice, but to stop the fight.

A promising debut for Tonon. There is room for improvement and a long road to the top, but he has the work ethic to get him there.
