Kendall Reusing Apologizes After Backlash From CJI Criticism
After CJI 2, Kendall Reusing made a post criticizing the organization for not making more women’s brackets after an extra $1 million was given to New Wave.
After it was revealed that an anonymous donor gave the money, and loads of backlash from commenters, Reusing has since deleted that post. Last night, she made another post apologizing to CJI execs after getting all of the facts.
“Deleted my posts. I spoke too soon, with urgency and emotion, and I feel now that it was a mistake. Today, I talked to a few people that I respect in the community, and I got more info and clarity. I’m human and definitely not immune to human messiness.
Making mistakes sucks, but it’s part of life and it’s important to own them. Most importantly, I apologize to anyone whose feelings I hurt. I hope that it’s clear that my intentions were good l, but execution was poor.
Congrats to the CJI team on an incredible weekend and everyone who made it possible.”- Kendall Reusing.
