Pans 2025 Competitor DQ’d For Not Wearing Undies

Pans 2025 went down last week and we received the oddest disqualification we’ve seen in a while. A brown belt named Phillip Gregory Jones was abruptly disqualified for not wearing underwear during his match.

Just a few seconds into the match, the referee stops the match. He pats Jones down and asked him to pull up his pants and sees he’s not wearing underwear.

After a conference with other officials, the referee disqualified Jones. We did not have competitor DQ’d for no undies on our bingo card this year.

This rule is known as the Bill Cooper rule. The rule was originally implemented after OG grappler Bill “The Grill” Cooper attempted to compete without undies.
