The John Wick Invitational
The organization Pit Boss Grappling has created a new grappling format they call the John Wick Invitational. This new format was inspired by the famed action series revolving around a universe of assassins.
Grapplers enter the pit wearing suits and have prop weapons thrown in the last 90 seconds of the match. A coin is tossed to determine whether a prop gun or a knife is thrown in the pit.
This gives grapplers another method of finishing their match. They can either go for the submission or grab the weapon to finish their opponent.
It’s all a bit silly, but it’s all in good fun, and the competitors are enjoying themselves. Pit Boss just uploaded the second event in its entirety below.
The grappling format has been getting great feedbac,k and the upcoming third event will be their biggest.
