Capacity & Size
This Jiu Jitsu backpack from Gold BJJ has an enormous capacity of 25 liters. You could not only fit your BJJ gear in this bag, but also some kickboxing gear, or maybe a small kettlebell if you felt so inclined!
What makes this backpack even better is its compact size. It can hold a lot of weight, while not being too bulky and take up a lot of space.
Material
Gold BJJ chose to construct their Jiu Jitsu backpack with some of the toughest nylon you can get on the market. In addition to durable materials, they use reinforced double stitching to construct their sturdy backpack. This bag is designed to withstand a large amount of weight and last for years of training.

The Gold BJJ Jiu Jitsu Backpack has a total of five different pockets.

These five pockets were perfectly designed to separate and keep your things organized.
Dedicated Gi Pocket
The main compartment of this backpack is a dedicated gi pocket that is made of waterproof material. This separates your dirty gi from your other belongings and keeps the rest of your gear dry and stink free.
Belt Pouch
Below the gi compartment is a dedicated belt pouch. Not only can you fit your belt in this bag, but also a notebook or journal to take notes.
Velvet Pocket
The top compartment of this backpack is a velvet pocket to put your personal items. Everything from your sunglasses, phone, and wallet can fit in this pocket. Also, thanks to the velvet material, your phone and sunglasses’ lenses won’t get scratched up!
Side Zipper Pockets
The last two compartments on this backpack are the large side zipper pockets. The first side pocket was designed to hold their Gold BJJ insulated (stainless steel) water bottle. (Another Gold BJJ product that I own and can attest that it keeps your water cold for hours.)

Also, another side pocket that is great for putting rolls of athletic tape to wrap up before training, or as Gold BJJ’s product description recommends, bringing along a tube of their Defense Wipes to clean up after training.
The Carry System
This Gold BJJ Jiu Jitsu Backpack includes shoulder straps plus a hip belt. The well-padded shoulder straps include a sternum strap, which is definitely appreciated when the bag is loaded up with gear.
A problem with a lot of backpacks is that they don’t stay on tight once you’re carrying them. As you walk they’ll jostle around uncomfortably on your back – perhaps not a problem if your commute is from your car to the gym door, but a real nuisance for people walking, taking the metro, or riding their bike to class.
This bag doesn’t have that problem – once you connect the sternum strap and hip belt, this backpack stays in place and doesn’t move.
Padded Shoulder Straps
Some BJJ backpacks I’ve used have had shoulder straps that tend to dig into your skin. This problem is especially pronounced when you’re carrying a lot of weight in your bag.

There’s not much else that I can really say about the Gold BJJ Jiu Jitsu Backpack. It is the Jiu Jitsu backpack that was created by Jiu Jitsu practitioners, who knew exactly what grapplers needed. From what I’ve seen, they did a great job, and you will be hard-pressed to find a better quality backpack built for BJJ.
