Blue Belt Breaks Robber’s Arm
A video posted to the BJJ forum on Reddit has been going viral. The video shows a would-be robber attempting to rob a clinic in Brazil.
This thief steps into an office with his gun drawn at the worker. Unbeknownst to the robber, the worker is a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu and quickly takes action.
The man grabs the robber’s head and jumps guard to take the fight to the ground. He rapidly switched from a triangle and armbar as a colleague helped take the gun away from the thief.
The worker then switches to an omoplata as his colleague grabs a headlock to subdue the thief until the police arrive.
This was a great display of the effectiveness of Jiu-Jitsu, but also a dangerous decision. More than likely, a robber with his gun drawn would’ve shot the man, but thankfully, the bad guy hesitated.
