This one’s for the competitor audience amongst our readers. Although definitely a subjective matter, there are many competitors who have distinguished themselves enough to make it to world-wide renown, at least in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu circles. Keep in mind that the list was made by a fan, with his own unique viewpoint on who the best are. Perhaps you’ll order it differently. Add more people. Remove some maybe. Whatever the case, it’s a great list, and the highlights are more than good. Lots of great sweeps and takedowns in it; be it spider sweeps, uchi matas, reversals and pure dominance.

There’s many criteria we’d use to make our own selection, be it record, weight division, dominance, submission percentage etc. But really, there’s a surefire way of figuring this out: the poll. That’s why we’re asking you to give us your own top ten list. Leave a comment. Tell us why you agree or maybe don’t agree with.

Number ten through six are Marcus Buchecha, Marcio Feitosa, Saulo Ribeiro, Romulo Barral and Roger Gracie. All of said names are massive in BJJ circles. I very much doubt you’re unfamiliar with Roger, Romulo or Marcus, especially Roger and Buchecha. The pair even met twice in a match that many consider to have been worth the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) title. The first one came out as a draw. The second time they met however, Roger got the win with a back choke solidifying his status and paving a glorious road to retirement. Let’s hope we see them clash one more time.

Numbers five through one are Marcelo Garcia, Bruno Malfacine, Rubens Charles, Andre Galvao and Xande Ribeiro. I know what you’re thinking. Where the hell is Rodolfo Vieira. Some might have put Marcelo first but like I said before, it’s a subjective list. We thank MMA Videos for compiling it.
