A basic, but really effective technique by Olympic Judo medalist Travis Stevens. Stevens shows you how to finish the arm drag after you have accomplished it. Using an arm drag to get behind your opponent is one thing, but the technique would not be complete without the takedown. So there are two major pieces to this technique.

  1. Arm drag
  2. Takedown

This will also work for no gi athletes. There are many fancy techniques out there which unfortunately don’t work. The arm drag has been a staple in the wrestling community. It has stood the test of time. Footwork is key in this technique so pay attention to that.
